Winters’ Winter Wedding

Lauren and Brad were the lucky winners of one of our give-away engagement sessions at the Kern County Bridal Association Bridal show! Many bridal shows have a lot of incredible giveaways and great vendors all in one place to help plan your wedding. Bryan did their session and they decided to use us!

Fast forward to the wedding day… we met up with Lauren at Stockdale Country club while hair and makeup was finishing up. We photographed all off her personal items including shoes, jewelry, dress, garter, bouquet and more. I then met up with Brad down the hall who was mostly ready. He was nervous, as most guys are. We did some classic portraits with him around the lobby at the country club. He was dressed in a nice blue blazer, red bow tie, and tan slacks. This was not the typical black suit and he looked sharp! We tucked Brad away and set up a reveal with Lauren and her dad. They shared a nice private emotional moment.Lauren’s bridal portraits were next. The light around the front of the country club was amazing, and her portraits came out beautiful! Taking full advantage of the light, we moved to Brad and Lauren’s reveal. They shared a special moment out front of the country club where Lauren came up behind Brad, embraced him, and he turned around for a nice kiss. We took about 45 minutes and did their couples photos out on the greens near the front of the country club. We then went into bridal portraits and took pictures with the bridal party, along with each member with the bride and groom.

Ceremony time! They had winter details like pinecones and winter flowers with golds, light blues and deep reds. The ceremony went well and we moved to family photos and more bridal portraits. After that, it was grand entrance time and the party! One of the top DJ companies in Bakersfield, Freestyle, had the mic introducing the bridal party. There was a prayer over dinner, and we all ate. The best man, maid of honor, and parents speeches were very heartfelt and impactful. We wish we had Cinema at the wedding so those could have been preserved for them! The rest of the party went smooth with bouquet toss, garter toss, dances and all. The couple also did the “longest married couple dance,” which is always touching at the end when the couple married the longest gets to give the new bride and groom advice on staying married for decades! We were proud to be part of this wedding, and wish Brad and Lauren many happy years ahead!
